Without bladder control people tend to isolate themselves and stop participating in socializing events and gatherings for fear that they might experience incontinence when they laugh, sneeze, cough, or get startled.
Bladder has got many troubles and these are common impediment too which can take place at any age. Fortunately, there are many options as well available to treat them. Keeping your bladder healthy is one of the best ways to prevent incontinence. This is very common among older adults, but this can also happen to young adults too. Lower Your Fluid Intake
We all know that we urinate when we take in fluids, and it helps because it aids in cleansing the body. But for those experiencing incontinence you have to watch your fluid intake to prevent incontinence. We urinate when we drink excessive amounts of water at one time and also happen after heavy exercising or after a meal. You can prevent incontinence by taking regular steady portions throughout the day instead of one big gulp.
Gulping too much at one time can cause strain on your bladder which can result to incontinence.
If you happen to be on a workout, try drinking during the workout rather than after it. This keeps you from being too thirsty and drinking too much.
Take Care of your body
One of the biggest causes of incontinence is holding the urge to urinate for long periods of time. If you feel the slightest urge to urinate, then go to the toilet and release. If you hold it in too much, a laugh or a cough can cause unwanted release of urine.
Stress can also cause incontinence, so if you are having a bad day at work, take a break, breathe, or take a walk in the park. Untreated urinary tract infection can also lead to incontinence, so if you are experiencing painful moments in the restroom, go see the doctor as soon as possible.
Keep a Healthy Weight
There are heavier people with urinary incontinence, then slimmer people. Why? Because the more weight you carry the more pressure there is on your bladder. Slim down, exercise, and eat healthy once you get all the weight off this can result to less stress on your bladder and improved bladder control muscles.
